Grounded in service.
Growing toward wellness.
My path here didn’t start in a wellness studio — it started on a fire engine. Years spent as a career firefighter and paramedic taught me how to stay steady when things get hard, how to look for the root cause under a set of symptoms, and how much the body can do when it’s given the right support.
That instinct to find the root, not just treat the surface, is what pulled me toward functional and integrative medicine. I hold master’s degrees in herbal medicine and in integrative health and wellness, and this March, I’ll begin my board certification as a functional medicine health coach — alongside a trauma-informed somatic breathwork certification, so I have a way to support the nervous system from the very start.
This isn’t just a practice I’m building — it’s how I already live. My own family leans on homeopathy and herbal medicine as a first language of care, and I’m continually weaving in more naturopathic modalities — acupuncture, chiropractic, and beyond — wherever they can help us live as naturally and holistically as possible. What I offer clients is rooted in what I practice at my own kitchen table.
That same instinct carried into one of the most defining moments of my life: birthing my son. Using hypnobirthing, I experienced firsthand what it feels like to walk into birth informed, calm, and empowered rather than afraid — and it planted a seed I can’t shake: helping other women find that same sense of calm and agency in their own birth stories. This practice welcomes everyone — women and men alike — and hypnobirthing classes are one offering I’d love to grow into, should there be interest.
A Rooted Awakening is where all of that comes together: a practice built for people who want to understand why they feel the way they do, and who are ready to put down roots of their own toward getting well from the ground up.
